Houses of Math
The pearl houses are a creative further development of the classic pearl material. The material consists of 10 wooden panels, each with the outline of a house. Each plate stands for a number from 1 to 10 and is designed in the corresponding Montessori color. Each house has grooves in which the matching pearl sticks can be placed. This is about breaking down numbers. For example, a 3 can be represented as 3 + 0, 2 + 1, 1 + 2, and 0 + 3. With this material, the 10 Montessori colors are particularly easy to remember, as they are used for both the pearls and the houses.
